This summer, our Young Leaders Camp will attend three different offsite retreats in Santa Cruz, Occidental, & Coloma in California. We want to challenge young people to step out of their comfort zones while being in safe spaces. These offsite retreats give opportunity to gain new perspectives while cooking and cleaning together, participate in group challenges, outdoor ziplining challenges, swimming, sports, water-rafting, and much more. We’ve partnered with these sites for more than 10+ years to build spaces for our youth to be challenged and grow.

Youth Disciple Group (YDG) is small group discussion time to discover more about Christ and ourselves! During YDG, we explore the week’s lesson and what it means in our lives. By sharing and listening to one another, we remember better what was taught and also build stronger friendships along the way!

For entering 7th-9th graders, our Young Leaders Camp staff will be spending mornings teaching from the book “3 Big Questions that Shape Our Future” by Kara Powell, Kristel Acevedo, & Brad M. Griffin. The book explores the 3 big questions introduced in our YLC vision, “Who am I? Where do I fit? What difference can I make?” This book was written based on years of research by the Fuller Youth Institute and our goal as YLC Staff is to help teens develop a deeper understanding of who they are and what their life means to the world by embracing God’s best answers for them. The book is included in the cost of our program.
