MEET THE AIRHEADS!

Airheads consists of 5th and 6th graders. This group goes through a transitional period moving from childhood to adolescence. They begin to move from concrete to abstract thinking, transforming into their own unique self. Airheads’ uniqueness is what makes them innovative. Their character theme innovative is in itself a synonym of their ideals and core values: inspiring, nurturing, non-stop, opportunistic, virtuous, accepting, transparent, involved, visionary, and encouraging. Airheads constantly experiment to discover and create new ideas, personalities, talents, and uniqueness.

Hello everyone, my name is Julia and this will be my 4th year serving in SDC.

Previous years I've been in both Gummie Bears and Skittles, and this year for the first time I will be joining Airheads! Although this is completely new territory for me, words can't describe how excited I am for this year. One thing I am especially excited about is being able to share God's Word with the children and also because this year's theme reminds us that "we are lovingly crafted by God." I hope through this year's theme we can all learn more about each other and be reminded that we are all CREATED for a purpose. This year we have a huge group and now that day camp is approaching I am starting to picture everyone's laughter, curiosity, energy, and all the fun they will be having! I am truly inspired and constantly reminded of God's ministry and how He is working in all of our lives. This all wouldn't be possible without our Creator and I am beyond glad to be a part of this. I can't wait to meet each and every one of you soon!

Hi, my name is Wesley Chew and I’m an Airheads counselor.

I am 21 years old and this will be my 5th year in SDC. I will be a nursing student at the University of Portland in 2018, so this will be my last year in SDC, at least for a while. I love going to gym playing basketball and football. I just love being active. I also love music; I play the guitar and drums.

I hope to get to know you guys more in the future.
